The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Golaghat Engineering College was established in 2018, offering a B.Tech program with an annual intake of 60 students. The department features six advanced laboratories, including the Engineering Mechanics Lab, Theory of Machine Lab, Applied Thermodynamics Lab, Strength of Materials Lab, Engineering Inspection and Metrology Lab, and Heat Transfer Lab, along with fully equipped mechanical workshop facilities. Its mission is to provide high-quality education and produce competent engineers contributing to nation’s progress. With a strong emphasis on innovation and problem-solving, the department inspires both students and faculty to excel. Additionally, it actively promotes student involvement in extracurricular activities to ensure well-rounded development.
The Civil Engineering Department at Golaghat Engineering College, established in 2018, is the institute’s pioneering undergraduate program. The department houses seven cutting-edge laboratories, including the Strength of Materials Lab, Engineering Survey Lab, Concrete Technology Lab, Transportation Engineering Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Geotechnical Engineering Lab, and Environmental Engineering Lab. Additionally, it features a dedicated seminar and conference room, facilitating both academic and research endeavors.
