CAMPUS LIFE
HOSTELS
Two number of hostels – one for boys and the other for girl students. Both the buildings are doubled storeyed, each with a capacity to accommodate 80 students. Both have provisions for vertical extension to G+3 storeys. In addition, future provisions for more number of hostels and Quarters for hostel superintendents are there as per the site map.
The numbers of boys students residing in boys’ hostel is 88 and the numbers of girl students in girls’ hostel is 84. In addition, 15 numbers of girl students are accommodated in one section of the college Guest House. The girls’ hostel and the Guest House has six numbers of lady attendants with two attendants in each shift.
Recently, two numbers of hostels, each of 100 boarder capacity are in the process of construction.
Library
The Golaghat Engineering College Library plays an important role in catering to the educational needs of the students of Golaghat Engineering College. The library holds about 2500+ books comprising of the three branches of Chemical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering together with books of Basic Sciences and Humanities. In addition, there are around 1 lakh e-books which the students can access as and when required.
SPORTS FACILITIES
For organizing different sports activities, the college has an playground. One basketball court is also under construction.
NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)
12 ASSAM (I) COY NCC and 74 ASSAM GIRLS COY NCC unit has been functioning at Golaghat Engineering College campus. At present the unit has a capacity of 100 cadet enrolments.
Computer Centre
The College has a computer centre with 69 PCs, 1 printer and 2 no. of central UPS with a bank of 20 batteries. The computers are housed in two laboratories. All systems are equipped with Turbo C software and Linux OS environment.
Language laboratory
Golaghat Engineering College has a state of the art language laboratory with 11 PC’s. All systems are equipped with Wordsworth English Language Lab software which helps in the development of soft skills of our budding engineers
Conference Hall
The general conference hall can accommodate 50 persons withseparate sitting arrangement for the presiding dignitary..
GUEST HOUSE:
College has one guest house equipped with all the facilities.
